Mitsubishi Lancer Rhys Millen by qmorley Mitsubishi Lancer Rhys Millen by qmorley
Mitsubishi Lancer making good time at a rally in Shelton, Washington. That's my good friend Jens on the left doing some good cell phone photography. When he showed me his picture I wasn't impressed, but I would give anything for it now, after seeing how this turned out.

Canon AE-1 50mm lens.

i love the Evo, i dont know why its less famous that the subaru, its a better car.

Haha. It's not as famous because mitsubishi didn't offer it to the public in the right trim at the right times. It was rally champ before subaru in the united states. The CEO also cancelled the U.S. rally program sometime around 2004.

I prefer the subarus, but i really only like saabs.

Hmm iv never really liked Saab, there too bulky, no doubt well made cars, i just dont like the look of them. I only really like Fords, european ones, not american (which are horrid lol)

Cool driver, too :)

He was the stunt co-ordinator for Tokyo Drift. Mitsubishi fired him for wrecking too many Evo's! :)

I still think that it is a pretty incredible shot! If I were you I would leave it the way it is! :)

How does...An EPIC shot sound for an Advanced Critique! :)

HA, works for me. I for some reason feel the need to photoshop it more, though. It would have been way nicer if it wasn't overcast that day, I hate white wash-out reflections!

Rally cars are sweet
so is this photo.
not much to critique on because no technical data.

it looks slightly out of focus.

Technically, it's not that great of a picture. It probably is out of focus because my mirror was so scratched I couldn't see what was going on. :)

I just leave my aperture on Auto, there is no exposure compensation, it just does what the meter wants it to. I had no filters and just a ratty old 50mm lens with no lens cap because a neon chased me off the road, lol. I can't believe that just a shitty canon with a shitty lens can produce pictures like it has, but every rally shot I have on here as of today was taken with the ae-1, most with the 50mm lens. I did get a few lenses from a guy at Olympus rally, but I don't think I have shot rally with them yet.

This weekend I will bring my new EOS digital rebel XT to a club rally and hopefully get some good shots. Not many fast cars though at club rallies!
